Glad I took the day off
Mar. 11th, 2011 11:10 amGiven what a pain in the ass Ed is being post-surgery I'm glad I called off work today (and exceptionally fortunate to be in a situation where I can ditch work like this).
Last night Ed kept breaking the cone around his neck or getting it stuck somewhere, not something I'd like to have had happen while I was at work. Now I'm just hoping that he gets used to his new situation before Monday.
Also, selfishly, having to devote all my attention to Ed is keeping me distracted from my grandfather in the hospital (and as of this morning add disaster in Japan). Alone with my thoughts and unable to sleep last night left me really messed up. Now I'm just concentrating on making sure Ed gets food and water, has a comfortable bed, and Eleanor and Fergus don't get too close and send him running and getting stuck under a chair again.
