WisCon summary pt 2 and then some

5/30 - Monday
Diversity in Superhero comics, (the second panel I was a member of)
The panel went really well, though we all pretty much had the same thoughts. Unfortunately I had to leave 10 minutes before the end as wrdnrd received news Ed had been taken to the animal ER when our catsitter found him bleeding from the nose.
We were contacted by the vet to summarize the situation and arrange payment. The with littlebutfierce's help we got me moved to a flight home that evening.
That kinda put an end to my WisCon. Even though I was physically there for the next few hours I was done. Appoligizies to anyone I saw and didn't tell about it, I wasn't really up for repeating the story over and over.
While my first flight was boarding I got another call from the vet. All tests were normal, but X-rays showed things up with his lungs. To her credit the vet didn't pressure me to do more things when I said I wanted to see him and talk to our regular vet (or in this case regular clinic as our vet retired). If nothing else I'd really like to get Ed taken to his normal clinic for cost reasons.
The ER also didn't know Ed's regular vet, so now that I've told them they'll hopefully be able to get a hold of his medical history, which might help diagnose his problems.
I promised myself I wouldn't think about this for a while, but by getting it all out now I don't have to explain it again for a while. Thanks for listening.
