Still not sure what caused the bleeding, the lung thing appears to be unrelated(?) and is just a thing they uncovered while taking x-rays.
I'm putting my money on this being caused by an allergic inflammation of the inner nose or sinus. They said that sort of thing is uncommon, but Ed already has a lot of uncommon allergic issues.
