WisCon write up lightning round

After some shitty travel we made it to Madison. Huzzah! There was much hugging and then showers. Then Food at an awesome Japanese place, and drinks, and karaoke, and I drunkenly rode a kids bike back to the hotel.
5/27 - Friday
Zine table at the Gathering. Test shave with my old timey safety razor (survived!). Skipped opening ceremonies because I find them crappy. Caught the end of the vid party.
5/28 - Saturday
Don't be a Tool Panel
Good panel, shame there were only 5-6 people in attendance. And none of them were the people who needed to attend such a panel on how to avoid being crap.
Lunch with the Beyond the Gender Binary in Anime panel panelists.

Awesome! The best mix of panelists for the topic I've seen in a while. Find a write up if you can. Sorry, my brain is too tired to do one.

My first panel as a panelist! Went pretty well, though it was a shame we didn't have a great shared text to refer to.
Auction
Is as the auction is: amusing for the first hour, then it was time to leave before it got too tedious.

Audacious 18th Century Women panel
Bailed because it really wasn't grabbing me. Sorry panelists, but your presentation styles were actively stifling my interest.I would have rather just read wikipedia.
Not another fucking race panel
this had a slow start, but eventually became the hilarious panel we've all come to know and love. Except for annoying white dude, but he was shut down eventually. Disappointed I didn't get to ask my Doctor Who question though. On the other hand, Tempest and I disagree so very much about current DW, it may be better we just ignore all mention of it.
I Don't Know Why I'm on this panel
Came to see Sumana face off against Ellen, left because Eileen can't be bothered to use a mic when people can't hear and then attempts to make it their fault for not listening. Fuck that noise.
Bought stuff in the dealers room, then got more food and booze and hung out with Sumana.
Desert!
Speeches! Interrupted by disturbing news from the cat sitter that there was blood about the house, but all the cats seem fine? Hoping there was just a fight of some kind and there are only scratches (crossed fingers).
More parties, more drinking. Wrdnrd getting a scratchy throat, hoping it's not a cold. I need sleep before my last panel, good night internet.
