Oh hey, I made a mix!
Aug. 4th, 2010 11:16 pmAfter years of receiving mixes from Cabell at WisCon it finally came about that I managed to make a mix of my own in time, but then only managed to give it to my roommates (one of whom I live with). But hey, I'll share it with you here and if you want a copy feel free to bug me.
Also, I made an awesome album cover using art I'd saved for years from a weekly paper, but I'm too lazy tonight to upload it.
Andy's Mad Scientist mix track listing and notes:
General: I feel the second half has a little more narrative cohesion whereas the first half, But maybe I'm being a little too pretentious about a mix CD.

3. Time Machine ni Onegai - Browny Circus
4. E.S.P. - Shonen Knife
5. Science Genius Girl - Freezepop
6. Violet Stars Happy Hunting!!! - Janelle Monáe
7. Electric Barbarella - Duran Duran
8. "He's Ok!" - Dialogue from RHPS
9. I'm Different - El Destroyo (this is a SF band featuring my old roommate's akido sensei)
10. Controller - Oingo Boingo (my favorite Boingo song no one else listens to)
11. Acida - Prozac + (an Italian band my roommate brought back with him one summer. Catchy songs about drugs mostly)
12. The Girl Who Was Born Without a Face - Schoolyard Heroes (a defunct Seattle band I like, mainly because they sing songs like this)
13. Run Straight Down - Warren Zevon
14. One Fine Day - Moonpenny Opera (Wrdnrd bought a CD off them when they were busking on the street, but they're better known as part of the Circus Contraption Band)
15. Bad Reputation - Joan Jett
16. Y.M.M.D.S.B - Mon Frere (yet another defunct Seattle band)
17. Brand New Day - Neil Patrick Harris
18. Handlebars - Flobots
19. Der Meister - Rammstein
20. Come Join Us - Bad Religion
21. Synthesizer - Electric Six
22. Intergalactic Robot Rock - Beastie Boys x Daft Punk (I wanted both Intergalactic and something by Daft Punk, so I compromised)
I'm also pleased that Cabell and Don's wedding mix was science themed yet we only overlapped with two songs.
