Deeper down the fandom well

So, I am seriously looking at making vids. I've been interested since my anime club days (a decade ago? really? I is old man now), but last week I wrote down a list of fic and vids I thought of and suddenly have five projects! I owe Chris the Doctor Who fic before WisCon (months left, I'm cool, I'm cool!), but I guess that leaves me time to figure out how to make at least one vid.

Anyone on my friends list who had done one and wants to give me some pointers?
